Cole Falling Asleep Standing Up!

OK, before you watch this video, please let me explain :) We have been having a VERY difficult time with Cole taking a nap...it's been over a week now that he has refused to take a nap, period! So, I talked to my pediatrician and she said to just put him in his crib during his normal naptime, make sure he is fed, diapered, has toys, and is safe and if he cries, let him cry. So as hard as it is, that's what we're doing - it's our only option. So, this child will cry...and cry...and cry!!! Today, he didn't have a morning nap...he cried/whined/played the entire 2 hours that he was in his room (I went in after about an hour for a little bit). So he was exhausted. This afternoon, I put him in his crib at 12:50 pm, right after he had eaten. He cried and whined most of the time, but I was too tired to fight my battles, so I let him go until {{cringe}} 3:45 pm. Of course, I checked in on him from time to time to make sure he was OK...and he was, just stubborn. So at 3:45 pm, I go up to find this...you may now watch the video :)

Growing TOO fast!

Landon and I were eating lunch today and I had Cole in his bouncy seat. While I was eating, I looked over and saw him trying to grab at his toys so I ran and grabbed the camera! I can't believe how quickly he's growing up...here's the video we caught on camera!

Today while Landon was sleeping, I was watching Cole in his boppy and he was really babbling away - it was so cute! Here is a video of him talking and smiling :)

Landon in the Bird Cage

So let me first explain this video before posting it. Several weeks ago, we took Landon to the zoo for the first time - it was just a small zoo about 30 minutes from our house, but he had a blast!! It was nice because it wasn't crowded and with it being smaller, we were able to see ALL the animals before both boys got really tired and fussy.

At this one exhibit, there were some very beautiful, noisy birds from Australia...I can't think of what they are called at the moment. Anyways, they allowed children and parents to go right into the cage with them. We didn't think Landon would do it, but he went in with daddy and LOVED it!! He even got a little too comfortable with the birds, as you'll see in the video. Here it is:
